Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF-US) (CCE-Approved Provider)
This course meets the CGDF competencies training requirement for the GCDF Credential under the
auspices of the Center for Credentialing and Education. There is added emphasis to help customers find truly worthwhile employment. Each week a different competency will be the focus of instruction with the exception of technology which is embedded into numerous modules.
This program follows the Center for Credentialing and Education guidelines:
GCDFs help people meet career goals by providing career facilitation and guidance. GCDFs work alongside professionals with more extensive training in government employment agencies, schools, universities, corporate human resources departments, private consultancy firms, and many other settings.
GCDFs complete at least 120 hours of training based on a curriculum infused with general and country-specific activities. Additionally, GCDFs must demonstrate that they engage in continuing education activities to remain abreast of current information in the career development field.
Upon successful completion of the training, participants will:
- Understand the history, scope, ethics and theory of Employment Counseling, Career and Workforce Development
- Become familiar with the varied roles of career development facilitators
- Define and describe the 12 GCDF competencies
- Be prepared to assemble their GCDF applications
