Member Dues

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP... Members who serve in a leadership capacity on the NECA Executive Board must also be a member of the American Counseling Association. The NECA Executive Board encourages dual membership because our numbers within the American Counseling Association determine the strength of our Division.

  • Professional Dual Member (voting) $50: Open to individuals who have a master's degree in counseling or a closely related field from a college or university that was accredited when the degree was awarded.
  • Regular Dual ACA Member (voting) $50: Open to individuals whose interests and activities are consistent with those of NECA, but who are not qualified for Professional Membership.
  • New Professional Dual ACA Member (voting) $50: Status is applicable only to individuals who have graduated from school during the past 12 months. Status is good for one year.
  • Student Dual ACA Member (voting) $24: Open to individuals currently enrolled half-time or more in a graduate education program or an approved Certified Career Development Facilitator Program.
  • Retired Dual ACA Member (voting) $24: Open to individuals who are retired from employment and have been NECA members for at least the past five years.
  • NECA Only Membership $60: Open to anyone interested in supporting the interests of the National Employment Counseling Association without becoming a member of the American Counseling Association.
