Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF-US) (CCE-Approved Provider)
This course meets the GCDF competencies training requirement for the GCDF Credential under the auspices of the Center for Credentialing and Education. There is added emphasis to help customers find truly worthwhile employment. Each week a different competency will be the focus of instruction with the exception of technology which is embedded into numerous modules.
CCE is a Credentialing Body independent from NECA. The Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE) is a not-for-profit organization that provides practitioners and organizations with assessments, business support services and credentialing. CCE credentials more than 25,000 practitioners globally in a variety of fields.
This program follows the Center for Credentialing and Education guidelines:
GCDFs help people meet career goals by providing career facilitation and guidance. Our GCDF graduates often are able to make significant contributions working alongside other professionals, some with more extensive training, in government employment agencies, schools, universities, corporate human resources departments, private consultancy firms, and many other settings.
GCDFs complete at least 120 hours of training based on a curriculum infused with general and country-specific activities. Additionally, GCDFs must demonstrate that they engage in continuing education activities to remain abreast of current information in the career development field.
Upon successful completion of the training, participants will:
- Understand the history, scope, ethics, and theory of Employment Counseling, Career Exploration, and Workforce Development.
- Become familiar with the varied roles of Employment & Career Development Facilitators and Coaches.
- Have proven they understand the 12 GCDF competencies.
- Have all questions answered on assembling their GCDF applications?
Future Courses: (12-week instruction with two reading breaks & a final assignment for a total of 15 weeks, new classes starting approximately every 3 months)
